A Letter From Ronald Stowell
When a client comes to our law office to discuss a family law case like a divorce or custody dispute, one of the first questions we hear is "What will it cost?"
At the law firm of Stowell, P.C., in Lone Tree, Colorado, we understand that cost is an important issue. Of course, we also understand the old adage "you get what you pay for." We are committed to providing the highest quality legal services at an affordable price. That is why we take steps to get results for you in a timely and cost-effective matter. .
First, Your Retainer
Many law firm set high retainers as a sort of "insurance policy" if your case does not go smoothly. This might be good for the lawyers, but it may not be in the best interests of the client, particularly one who is concerned about costs. Some clients even find it unfair that they have to write a substantial check just to get started.
Stowell, P.C., takes legal representation in a different direction. We offer an initial consultation to discuss your case. Only after a thorough investigation of your specific situation can we give you an accurate assessment of the potential costs associated with your case, and charge you a retainer accordingly. Should additional expenses come up, we will promptly notify you.
Secondly, a Team Approach
At most law firms, whether it is a sole attorney practice or a 50-attorney firm, you are likely to be represented by only one attorney who handles every aspect of your case. At Stowell, P.C., you get the benefit of an entire team of legal professionals, including several attorneys and support staff.
Our attorneys charge hourly rates commensurate with their experience. Each of our attorneys charges different rates. As the senior attorney, I will manage your case and determine the legal strategy. Then I will delegate specific tasks to the attorney or paralegal who is best able to perform that task as the lowest billable rate. At a high-stakes property division or contested child custody hearing, I would represent you personally. However, for a simple status conference or uncontested divorce, I would likely send an attorney who bills at a lower hourly rate.
Another advantage of the team approach is you will receive the benefit of three legal perspectives instead of one. If you have a question about your case, there will rarely be a time when you will not be able to talk to a lawyer who is familiar with the facts of your case.
To discuss your case with me, I invite you to call 888-353-9358 or fill out our contact form.
Sincerely,
Attorney Ron Stowell
